LOSTlogic Description: Use your attack helicopter to destroy the headquarters of The Smog before time runs out in 8 action packed missions. Use tactics and strategy to fight enemies from land, sea and air.
Exisle is based on the old Desert Strike and Jungle Strike games found on the Sega Genesis that hold a special spot in many gamers hearts to this day. LOSTlogic attempts to recapture the glory of those games with Exisled but ends up coming short.
What made Desert Strike and Jungle Strike such a success in the 16-Bit days was the depth they provided. It wasn't all about shooting and destroying everything you see on screen. The goal was usually to rescue a group of marines, drop of supplies or something of that nature. Exisled does none of that, instead you goal is simple, destroy everything and collect as many power ups as possible. The formula for an over head shooter without the insane difficulty.
Take a pass on this game, if you are looking for a good overhead shooter you are better of going with a game like Biology Battle, Geometry Wars or Everyday Shooter.
Review Summary
Awful menus, but simple enough to make it easy to get around
Eh, simple 3D models but reminds me of Desert Strike! Hoo rah!
Pretty good considering it is an indie game featuring a lot of explosions and gunfire.
Overhead shooter without much depth. Not very good at all.
Bad over head shooters don't hold up well over time.
