Rapelay: Finally a Rape Simulation Game

Let me clear up something before we get this show on the road: in a previous article I mentioned the 3D sex game RapeLay developed and published by Illusion Soft, and claimed such titles should be able to exist without any hostility towards it. After all, violent titles are considered normal these days, Christian retard lawyers who don’t keep their word when promising to donate ten grand to a charity if someone creates a game to their liking not taken into account. But while I said that it was ‘just a game’, I had no empirical basis and I didn’t know what it exactly entailed. So I got the game and took a shot at it.
RapeLay is a 3D sex game in which you can ‘rape’ three set victims; a mom and her two daughters. The mom’s a genuine MILF with enormous tits that defy gravity (no kidding), her oldest daughter is a typical Japanese anime teen, including the sexy school girl outfit, and her youngest daughter is… young. Really young. I don’t know what age she’s supposed to be but to me she looks like ten or twelve, and that’s something that might shock people. But then again, the early bird catches the worm. The worm being a nine inch polygon penis and the bird err… okay fuck it, this metaphor’s going nowhere.
So what do you actually do in the game? There are three types of activities. The first is peeping at one of the ladies at the train station. You can’t do much except say a little prayer and the wind will come blowing to lift the skirt of your target. Yay. In the second activity, your target is standing in the train and can grope her, something that actually happens quite a lot in Japan; there are even anime shows and DS games based on this. At first you just grab a boob, squeeze it, things like that. But things turn unrealistic quite soon as you can lift their skirts and make them squeal of involuntary joy by manually pleasuring them… on a train full of other passengers.
And the third activity is the main event: getting to home base, rape style. The first time around you have to go through all three activities with each of the targets. You watch them at the station (yawn), you grope them on the train (meh) and then you’re placed in a scene with the target, at a private location. After that you can choose to do any of these activities with each of the three girls, in a setting you like, but the other game types are pretty much bullshit. If you’re getting this game, you’re most likely going to spend most of your time in the coitus-part of it.
The interface of the game is quite clear (with the unofficial English patch I downloaded) and there are quite some options, especially in the sex segment. You have a character button with which you can determine your actions, like anal or vaginal insertion, cum inside or outside, say something nice or nasty to her, change positions and things like that.
So you choose your entry point, click the left mouse button to thrust, or hold it to wiggle around, and you try to get yourself and possibly her to reach a climax. In the top left of your screen is an icon that shows if you’re ready to pop and, I swear to my turtles tumor, it’s a picture of a mushroom. Once it starts trembling, you know you’re about to spread some love juice and you can choose your actions accordingly. The eventual goal is to ‘break’ all the victims, so they’ll be the good obedient sex slaves that modern society wishes their women to be. You do this by making them do something, like swallowing your virtual semen, several times during one session. Once they’ve done that, they won’t object the next time you ask them to do it.
But is this game really that much of a controversy? Short answer: fuck no. Really, I’ve looked up the publisher and they make this kind of crap all the time. This game and its interface looked very similar to the screenshots of other games developed by Illusion Soft and no wonder, it’s just a sex game. They’re all the same kind of game with the same kind of purpose: to play a game involving sex, allowing you to experience a type of fetish or fantasy. This title has some rape sprinkles spread over it by making the voice actors say ‘no’, ‘it hurts’ and ‘stop it please’ (yeah, I watch a lot of anime, I know some Japanese), and their facial expressions are made to look like they don’t enjoy it. And that’s it. I’ve downloaded a completed save game which had all the girls broken and it removed their pissed off faces, the rape element was totally gone. Hell, if you play the game and turn down the volume, it just looks like painful sex.
Really, trust me when I say there’s nothing essentially wrong with this game. It allows you to indulge a fantasy you might have, it grants you an experience, just like any other game. And it’s quite good at it too, with all the options and different kinds of women available. This game is no more a rape simulator than GTA is a murder simulator, and we all know that’s bullshit. Games are never responsible for someone’s personal actions, the person who committed the action is to blame. Playing this game does not mean you enjoy rape or will become a rapist and it doesn’t hurt anyone or infringe women’s rights. If you’ve ever had sex in your life, this game is actually pretty tame because you’re only clicking and moving your mouse, while actual sex is so much more than that. So if you really believe that this game is evil because it involves rape, then playing any other game containing murder would make you a hypocrite. So either quit your goddamn whining about something you haven’t a clue about, or join Jack Thompsons mentally damaged fucknut brigade, because you’re opposing the existence of a game without any valid argument or experience.
Review Summary
Menu’s are easy to understand and work smoothly. The self controlled camera is a bit dodgy though.
Pretty good. The models look smooth and their animations are well executed.
High quality and believable voice acting, though some lines are repeated too often.
Monotonous and boring in itself, but if this is your fetish you’ll thoroughly enjoy it, I’m sure.
The game can be observed as a quick, geeky and unsocial lay that you may want to repeat. For anyone that has had real life sex, the novelty will wear off in two minutes.
